The Group Campus Tour Program, thoughtfully designed for schools, community organizations and educational programs, warmly welcomes groups of K–12 or college-level students to explore the vibrant San Francisco State University.
About the Tour and What to Expect
Our guided group campus tour is a walking tour that lasts approximately one hour. It covers the central academic areas of campus and takes place outdoors along campus pathways.
Please note: Tours of specific facilities (such as residence halls or academic departments) are not included in the general tour and must be arranged directly with those departments. For more information, please get in touch with the department directly.
Booking a Group Tour
Group tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be booked by an adult group leader or chaperone.
Questions? Email us at grptours@sfsu.edu or call (415) 338-7168.
SFSU welcomes student guests to our campus. It is each student guests’ responsibility to be respectful to each other, student guides, staff, presenters and property.
Be curious and engaged—this is a chance to explore higher education opportunities and remember you are a guest on our campus.
We require one chaperone for every ten minors on our campus, at minimum (i.e., a group of 50 students requires five chaperones. We ask that chaperones be involved with the visit by participating in the group tour and monitoring student behavior). Chaperones must provide ongoing supervision for the group at all times.
Please support positive behavior and engagement and communicate with the undergraduate welcome center about any changes in plans.
